Primary Engagement Team Skills Mix

Performing audits requires a multi-skilled team to be involved. We have taken time and care in selecting our engagement team and resources.

We pull together a dynamic team with the requisite experience, expertise and accreditation to meet client needs.

We carefully assess the portfolios and capacities of the key team members put forward in our proposals to ensure that they have no constraints to service the audit and ensure the proposed team per our proposal is the same team servicing the engagement when we are successful.

We propose a pool of staff in such a manner that will minimize the chance of changes to the team. However, in the event of the loss of a key staff member for any reason, we identify a suitable replacement candidate and discuss our selection with the designated member of management.

The lead engagement director and manager will remain with Sondlo for a period of at least five years, after which rotation of the director is mandatory in accordance with the Companies Act. In the event of a staff member leaving the firm or rotating out of the audit, we have a pool of staff members that we will be able to draw from that have similar skills and experience. We recognize that continuity, rotation of personnel and turnover are important factors and concerns. Likewise, we understand that the knowledge and experience of our team develops during an engagement and are valuable assets to be preserved and augmented.
